New training module, Page Center Integrity Badge available
The Page Center is launching a special training module that captures the magic of its annual integrity awards and packages it with current initiatives and important topics facing public communication industries. Students who complete the online module will receive the 2024 Page Center Integrity Badge and – backed by the words of awards honorees – they will learn how important ethics, integrity and trust are to their success as future public communicators.

Modeled after its hugely popular ethics training program, the Page Center's awards module offers two lessons that take advice and insights from 25 Larry Foster Award recipients and connects them with Center initiatives and research, as well as foundational concepts that enhance ethics learning.
“Larry Foster Award honorees are an impressive group of renowned communicators and leaders,” said Page Center director Denise Bortree. “They are also an incredible resource, and our goal is to deliver their expertise to students and professionals in an engaging way.”
The eighth annual Page Center Awards will stream at 4 p.m. on March 25. This year’s honorees Ursula Burns, chairwoman of Teneo Holdings and founding partner of Integrum Holdings; Dr. Sanjay Gupta, chief medical correspondent for CNN; and Kelly McGinnis, chief communications officer of Levi Strauss & Co., will be part of the event and participate in a Q&A about the night’s theme. A recording will be available to those who register at the conclusion of the program. The event is free, online and open to all. Registration is required.

Students should complete Lesson #1 before watching the 2024 awards event. This first lesson overviews key ethics topics and remarks from past honorees, and it spotlights themes of integrity and responsibility in all corners of public communication.
After watching the awards, students can return to complete the module. Lesson #2 will add the wisdom and insights of Burns, Gupta and McGinnis. It will reflect on the stories and experiences these leading communicators share. The lesson will then blend their inspiring words with what honorees have shared in the past.
“What makes the awards module so unique is that it addresses modern challenges by fusing practical concepts with the experience of seasoned leaders,” Bortree said. “Plus, students get a chance to earn an integrity badge, which looks great on LinkedIn profiles and resumes.”
Badges are awarded through Credly. To earn the 2024 Page Center Integrity Badge, students must complete the two lessons. The deadline to complete the awards module is March 31.
The purpose of the Page Center Awards is to celebrate icons of ethics, integrity and truth in public communication. Now in its eighth year, the event continues to support innovative research by Page Center scholars and educational opportunities for students studying in communication fields.
