Ethical Stakeholder Engagement is Topic of PR Journal Special Issue

Public Relations Journal has just published a special issue on Ethical Stakeholder Engagement with Dr. Marcia DiStaso as guest editor. Dr. DiStaso is a senior research fellow with the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication which is co-publisher of the production.

The Page Center, a research unit of Penn State University’s College of Communications, supported the scholars who contributed six articles to the special issue.

In her article, “Ethical Stakeholder Engagement” Dr. DiStaso, an associate professor in the College of Communications at Penn State, gives an overview of the topic, summarizes the articles, provides five lessons learned from the research, offers future research suggestions, and includes a list of stakeholder engagement references.

The other articles in the special issue include:

• New Rules of Engagement in Public Health and Health Care Public Relations by Jennifer Vardeman-Winter, Ph.D.

• Ethical Community Stakeholder Engagement in the Global Environment: Strategies and Assessment by Lan Ni, Ph.D., Qi Wang, Ph.D., Maria De la Flor, MA, and Renato Peñaflor, MA

Public Relations Journal is published by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
