Yan Jin

Biography

Yan Jin is the C. Richard Yarbrough Professor in Crisis Communication Leadership and a professor of public relations at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Georgia (UGA). She is Co-Founder and Director of the UGA Crisis Communication Think Tank (CCTT) and Director of the Crisis, Risk, and Disaster Communication (CRDC) graduate certificate program. She is the lead-editor of two Routledge books, Advancing Crisis Communication Effectiveness: Integrating Public Relations Scholarship with Practice and Social Media and Crisis Communication (2nd edition). She is a Fellow of the International Communication Association (ICA) and recipient of the Kitty O. Locker Outstanding Researcher Award of the Association for Business Communication (ABC) as well as the Krieghbaum Award from the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). She serves on the board of directors of the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC).
