Biography
Brooke W. McKeever led the 2023 call for research proposals on prosocial communication. Her research focuses on nonprofit public relations, advocacy and activism, and health communication. She has published numerous articles and a book titled, “Public Relations for Public Health and Social Good.” Before taking on the role of department chair at University of Alabama, she worked for the University of South Carolina for 12 years, where she also served as associate dean for research. Before earning her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, she worked for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and for an agency in Chicago.
